- Gradual settling-in periods, that are agreed with parents, mean that children's needs are met from the start of the placement.
- Older children's pencil control is good.
- They draw recognisable pictures and some are able to write their own names.
- Staff introduce mathematical concepts effectively as part of different play activities.
- Toddlers sort toys by colour and size.
- They count and gain an early awareness of addition and subtraction.
- Staff provide a wide range of different materials and natural and everyday objects for babies to explore and investigate.
- It is not yet outstanding because:Staff do not always give children time to put their thoughts into words when they ask them questions.
- Young children's creative experiences are not fully supported by staff.
- They do not consistently provide materials and resources that inspire children to explore.
