- They take part in a good variety of activities, which they help to plan and organise.
- Children are confident and have good self-esteem.
- They eagerly take part in discussions and put forward their points of view.
- Children of different ages play well together and have relaxed and friendly relationships with staff.
- Older children are considerate of younger ones, and behaviour is good.
- Staff have a very good understanding of each child's individual needs and make sure they cater for and meet any dietary or medical requirements.
- Although storage space on site is limited, staff have access to an extensive range of resources and equipment stored at another of the provider's settings.
- They have put together a photographic resources book so that children can choose what they would like to have at each session.
- Staff are well qualified and the provider places a strong emphasis on their ongoing training and professional development.
- The management team's good systems of monitoring and performance management clearly identify how children's experiences have improved because of staff training.
- Staff have good relationships with parents and make sure they give them brief daily feedback about their children's time at the club.
- It is not yet outstanding because:Staff do not always share children's achievements at the club with their teachers in school.
