- Staff failed to sit with children during this time, so missing opportunities to talk to them about food choices and general social matters from school.
- Children are confident and wil ask for more food and help themselves to water.
- At the end of snack times, children are left without activities to wait for others to finish their food.
- Children quickly become bored as they wait.
- This does not provide a fun environment for the children to play in.

- She fails to make sure that premises are secure and that first-aid qualifications are in place.

- These failings all put children at significant risk of harm.n The provider does not ensure that staff understand the signs and symptoms thata child may be at risk of harm.
- They do not understand what they should be looking out for and what to do if they have concerns.
- The provider herself is also not confident about some aspects of safeguarding.
- This further puts children at risk of harm.n The provider does not evaluate her provision and is not able to see where theweaknesses are.
- She does not ensure that registers for staff and children are completed accurately.
- For example, she does not sign the children in with times of arrival, and children have been signed into the club at least an hour before they arrive.
- Staff do not sign in and out of the club and it is not clear who is working and when.
- In addition, the childminder does not review children's registration documents to ensure all the necessary information is recorded, such as dates of birth and parents' contact details.
- These are breaches of requirements.n The provider and staff do not work with children to teach them about healthylifestyles and to help them to make healthy choices at mealtimes.
