  • Staff take time to get to know children andtheir families, building strong and trusting relationships.
  • Parents comment that their children are happy at the setting and that parents have good opportunities to talk with staff about their child's progress.n Children are wel behaved.
  • Staff support children wel to understand about goodbehaviour.
  • They encourage skil s, including turn taking and remind children about sharing.
  • Staff model good manners and treat one another with respect.
  • They offer children praise and encouragement while they are playing.
  • For example, children name animals and staff give them a 'high 5' in acknowledgement.
  • Children are confident and self-assured.n Children are beginning to form friendships.
  • They use their friends names andpoint to their photographs on the wall.
  • Children are delighted when the bel rings and jump up excitedly to see which child is arriving at the door.
