- It is not yet good because:Leaders and managers do not always deploy staff effectively.
- This means that staff who are helping children learn are at times distracted, resulting in some lost opportunities for staff to extend children's learning.
- The disorganised deployment of staff also means that, on occasions, staff are not able to quickly meet the needs of all children.
- Staff do not manage the daily routines well enough.
- For example, during lunchtime some children become restless and move away from the tables and disrupt other children who are still eating.
- Staff generally help children get along well and play together.
- However, there are occasional lapses when staff are not always consistent when reminding children how they wish them to behave.
- It has the following strengths Staff know the children well.
- They observe children and have a clear understanding of what they can currently do.
- They use this to plan activities that promote children's next steps for learning.
- Therefore, all children are progressing well.
- Leaders ensure the nursery is well resourced with an interesting range of equipment that covers all areas of learning.
- Children confidently move around the nursery and choose the toys that interest them.
- Staff and managers develop strong relationships with parents.
- Parents feel welcomed into the setting and well informed about their child's learning.
