- They are confident to talk to adults and each other.
- Children talk about their day at school and the drawings they are making.
- They choose what they want to play with independently.
- However, children are not challenged enough to engage with the activities.
- Staff lack engagement and their interactions with children are poor.
- As such, children get bored and become disruptive.
- Children are not kept sufficiently safe due to staff's poor knowledge of safeguarding and child protection issues.
- At times, staff deployment is not effective.
- Children are not adequately supervised to ensure they are kept safe.
- Staff do not share high expectations of children's behaviour.
- They do not consistently speak with children about their attitudes towards their friends.
- For example, when children are unkind to each other, staff do not always talk to them about it.
