- The key-person system is not embedded into practice.
- As a result, key persons lack a clear understanding of their role, particularly in supporting children when they start so that they develop secure emotional attachments with a familiar adult.
- Occasionally, staff do not review children's assessments regularly to help them develop a more clear understanding of children's next steps in learning.
- It has the following strengths Staff provide an exciting and well-resourced environment that promotes children's learning and independence well.
- Consequently, children are curious, enjoy exploring and become engrossed in their learning.
- Staff are good role models.
- They talk to children with respect and kindness, and consistently promote positive behaviour.
- Therefore, children are well mannered, polite and behave well.
- The setting is well established within the community and many parents return with younger siblings.
- Parents comment that they are happy with the nursery and speak positively about the care and education their children receive.
