  • As a result, children play, explore and chat alongside staff happily.
  • Staff provide excellent opportunities for younger children to develop their physical skills outdoors.
  • Staff carefully place equipment so babies can practise walking and toddling, which develops their coordination skills rapidly.
  • They enjoy investigating sensory resources that help to develop their small muscles as they handle them.
  • Staff warmly welcome parents and families, and invite parents to stay and talk about children's interests and to share what they know about their children.
  • This mutual approach helps to improve learning outcomes for children successfully.
  • The leaders and managers have extremely effective policies and procedures, which staff use to guide their already outstanding practice.
  • For example, staff clearly describe how to report any concerns if they were worried about a child's well-being.
  • As a result, staff protect children extremely well, helping to ensure their welfare.
  • Staff provide excellent support for children's communication and language skills.
  • They are highly skilful in using a combination of conversation, text and signs to develop children's speech.
  • However, they do not always fully enhance early literacy skills for those children that learn better outdoors.
  • The quality of teaching is outstanding.
  • Staff use an excellent range of techniques to motivate children to explore and investigate.
  • They skilfully help children to achieve what they set out to do and ask excellent questions to help them come up with their own ideas.
